Borosilicate glass is a premium and high quality type of glass that has many technical attributes which allows for an elegant every day use. It is very durable and it will not crack under extreme temperature changes like regular glass. Its durability has made it the glass of choice for high-end restaurants and wineries.

Borosilicate glass is made up of about 15% boron trioxide, an ingredient that changes the behavior of glass and makes it thermal shock resistant. This allows the glass to resist extreme changes in temperature and that is measured by the “Coefficient of Thermal Expansion,” the rate at which the glass expands when it is exposed to heat. Borosilicate glass has the ability to go straight from a freezer to an oven with- out cracking and stand temperature of up to 500 °C or 932 °F.

This product can be used for both hot and cold beverage from boiling hot water, tea or coffee to iced cold drinks without shattering or cracking the glass. When using borosilicate glass your beverage will taste better and the liquid inside remains pure, as borosilicate glass has low solubility, it keeps your beverage free from contamination.

All borosilicate glass are the same, we use the best, our borosilicate glass is made 100% by a German company that invented it in 1893. Using borosilicate glass leaves a low carbon footprint, it is made from naturally abundant materials that are more easily acquired, the environmental impact is also smaller. If handled with care, borosilicate glass will last a lifetime.

Design Inspiration

The Elba Vase collection draws its vernacular from the classic Cupola of the Renaissance architecture, a dome-like tall structure often used to admit light and air. These vases have been studied in three elevations and with the same shape and opening, creating a unique viewpoint when placed together while still allowing each to gracefully stand on its own.

Artisanship

Each vase is meticulously crafted from German borosilicate glass, a material prized for its exceptional purity, durability, and resistance. Hand formed using traditional mouth blowing techniques, each piece carries the subtle nuances of the artisan’s touch and no two are ever exactly alike.

Made entirely by hand, these pieces embody a tradition of fine craftsmanship, where skill and precision are passed down through generations. Lightweight yet remarkably strong, they are designed to endure daily use while retaining their delicate elegance. Carefully selected and expertly finished, each glass is a testament artistry and craftsmanship.
