Woven in Italy from 100% noble linen yarns, each cushion is crafted in a traditional hopsack construction, a basket-like weave defined by its subtle depth and natural movement. The yarns are dyed prior to weaving, creating a nuanced interplay of tone within the fabric and a colour that feels rich, layered, and integral rather than applied.

After careful hand-cutting and sewing, each cushion is washed in small artisanal batches. This final washing softens the fibres, relaxes the weave, and lends the surface a gently lived-in character. Finished by hand and complete with a custom-made insert filled with 50% goose down and enclosed in cotton, the cushion offers comfort that is generous yet composed.

Each piece is individually hand-cut using the traditional taglio dirittofilo method a time-honoured technique in which one yarn is pulled from the weft and one from the warp, allowing the cut line to align perfectly with the weave of the cloth. This ensures an impeccably straight, squared edge, preventing distortion or twisting over time and preserving the integrity of the form through years of use.

In a process more akin to tailoring than textile production, each edge is meticulously sewn, then hand-fringed by skilled artisans. This delicate finishing is followed by a second wash, softening the linen further and allowing its unique character to gently emerge.
