Color - olive buff
Description
The Tinto Filo Napkin in Olive Buff is defined by its quiet geometry and softened colour. Woven from Italian linen using yarn dyed threads, the subtle check pattern emerges through tonal variation rather than contrast, lending depth without formality. The palette draws from natural hues, warm olive layered with gentle buff, creating a surface that feels calm, familiar, and enduring. Each napkin is hand cut and sewn by skilled artisans, then gently washed to relax the fibres and soften the hand feel. The result is a cloth that sits easily on the table, refined yet unpretentious. Designed for everyday use, it brings a sense of order and warmth to the table, proof that restraint, when done well, is never dull.

Machine wash at 40°C (104°F), keeping colors separated. For the first wash, we recommend washing darker or more saturated tones separately. In case of stains, avoid rubbing; allow the fabric to rest, then wash immediately. For dark colors, always test any stain remover on a discreet area first. After washing, gently stretch the damp items to remove creases and hang to air dry before folding. Tumble dry on a light cycle if preferred. Iron at a medium temperature.
The Tinto Filo or yarn dyed collection is made using 100% Italian yarns, woven in a single canvas weave structure. The weave is carefully balanced to offer a soft, tactile hand feel while maintaining strength and durability across napkins, placemats, and runners. This structure creates a fabric that feels relaxed yet substantial, bringing warmth and character to the table. Its natural texture lends itself effortlessly to informal settings while retaining an understated elegance suitable for more considered tables. Each piece is cut and hand sewn, then individually yarn dyed and stone washed. This finishing process softens the fibres and creates a gently weathered appearance, with subtle tonal variations and irregularities that are a natural result of artisanal production. These variations are part of the character of the collection, making each piece distinctive. Designed for everyday use, the Tinto Filo collection is fully machine washable and becomes softer over time, maintaining both its beauty and functionality through repeated use. The result is a linen collection that is practical, durable, and quietly refined.

Design Inspiration
The Tinto Filo collection speaks to the craft of cloth before it becomes object, beginning with color embedded at the very first stage. Yard dyed rather than piece dyed, each fabric is woven from Italian yarns, allowing pattern, tone, and depth to emerge directly from the loom rather than being applied after the fact. The result is a collection defined by structure, nuance, and intention, where colour is integral rather than decorative. Woven in Italy using carefully selected yarns, Tinto Filo moves beyond a single material expression. While linen remains a constant reference, the collection explores different fibres and weave constructions, each chosen for its character, performance, and tactile quality. Subtle variations in texture and design reflect a quiet graphic language, one rooted in traditional textile knowledge yet unmistakably contemporary. Each piece is woven in small runs, then hand cut and tailored by skilled artisans. The finishing process preserves the integrity of the weave while softening the hand, allowing the fabric to settle naturally into use. What remains visible is the intelligence of the cloth itself: the rhythm of the loom, the discipline of alignment, and the beauty of restraint. Designed for tables that value both clarity and warmth, the Tinto Filo collection balances precision with ease. It is less about nostalgia than continuity, a modern expression of Italian textile tradition where colour, structure, and craftsmanship work in quiet harmony, elevating the everyday through thoughtful making and enduring design.

Artisanship
Crafted by skilled artisans who carry forward Italy’s textile tradition with quiet confidence, the Tinto Filo collection begins with colour at the thread itself. Yard dyed yarns are prepared before weaving, allowing pattern and tone to emerge organically through the structure of the cloth rather than being applied after the fact. This approach gives the fabric depth, clarity, and a natural harmony between colour and weave. Woven in Italy using carefully selected yarns and time respected weaving techniques, the collection is defined by variation and design rather than a single material expression. While linen remains an essential reference, Tinto Filo explores different fibres, weights, and constructions, each chosen for its tactile quality and functional integrity. The result is a series of textiles that feel considered yet relaxed, graphic but never rigid. Each piece is woven in limited runs, then hand cut and tailored one by one by experienced hands. Finishing processes are kept deliberately restrained, preserving the character of the weave while softening the fabric for daily use. Subtle irregularities in colour and texture are part of the language of the collection, gentle reminders of the human hand and the rhythm of the loom.Rooted in craftsmanship and designed for contemporary living, the Tinto Filo collection brings an easy sophistication to the table. Entirely woven and hand tailored in Italy, each piece is made with care, built to last, and intended to be used often, where beauty reveals itself over time rather than at first glance.
