Meet the Artisan series: Daniela

In the rolling hills of northern Tuscany, where olive groves give way to quiet valleys famed for textiles and the air hums with the rhythm of the loom, Daniela carries forward a family legacy defined by devotion to craft. The atelier, founded in 1960 by her parents, began as a modest weaving workshop dedicated to producing fine blankets, scarves, and textiles that would embody both the warmth and quality of Italian making.

From the very beginning, the workshop has remained faithful to its artisanal spirit, upholding a standard of quality that transcends trend and time. The noble fibres of cashmere and pure virgin wool are sourced from the most reputable spinners, chosen for their purity and handle. In their hands, these materials are transformed into fabrics that are tactile, enduring, and quietly luxurious. Over the years, Daniela’s curiosity and openness to innovation have shaped the evolution of the atelier. What began as traditional loom weaving has expanded into the realm of jacquard production, where geometry, texture, and colour meet in layered dialogue. The workshop’s mastery of this complex process has positioned it among Italy’s finest, known for its ability to translate the visions of the world’s most renowned fashion houses into woven form.

Yet for Daniela, the soul of the work lies as much in the finishing as in the weaving itself. Each blanket is brushed, pressed, and softened by hand, a sequence of gestures that grant it life and movement. Subtle variations emerge, traces of the artisan’s touch that make each piece unique. It is here, in the quiet precision of these final details, that her sensibility truly reveals itself. Today, with her brother Roberto a part of the atelier, this new generation ensures continuity while embracing the future. Together, they have infused the workshop with renewed energy modernising processes, expanding creative capacity, and carrying Tuscan craftsmanship into the contemporary world.
